In the specialty of urban search and rescue, speed, precision and appropriate technology can make the difference between chaos and control.
For this reason, VIPER will actively participate in the 20th edition of the National Urban Search & Rescue Conference, organized by the State Urban Search & Rescue Alliance (SUSAR), which will be carried out from November 10-12, 2025 in Orlando, Florida, USA.
This event is the main international meeting point for USAR teams, government agencies, technology developers and emergency response experts.
What are USAR groups?
The groups USAR (Urban Search and Rescue) are multidisciplinary teams trained to act in extreme scenarioss: buildings collapsed due to earthquakes, explosions, landslides or other disasters that occur in urban areas.
Its mission is to locate, access, stabilize and rescue people trapped under rubble, in situations where time is against us.
These teams combine capabilities of structural engineering, technical search, canine teams, pre-hospital care, logistics and communications, working under strict protocols as defined by INSARAG (UN international search and rescue advisory group).
For these cases, tools are required such as VIPER MASS, which allow them to act quickly, stay coordinated and operate safely in unstable environments.
Why is the National US&R Conference relevant?
Since its first edition in 2005, the National US&R Conference It has established itself as the key meeting space for this discipline.
Its focus is on sharing experiences, training first response teams and presenting disruptive technologies for the rescue and protection of human lives.
